Twelve of the greatest contemporary poets of Belgium and elsewhere in Europe come and share their works as part of the Word Marathon. The poems will be read out in their original language by their authors, then in French translation by the fantastic actor Denis Lavant. The audience is invited to enter the inner courtyard of La Bellone during intervals throughout the evening. Listening will be concentrated and calm with a semi-circle seating arrangement on moveable platforms and cushions. The musical interludes will be provided by Luc van Lieshout.
